Nicky Jay aka Lady Buzz

Nicky has been a professional D.J. for six years working both on radio and doing mobile and club work.

She has come up against some opposition during this time as it is a comparatively unusual occupation for a female. However, with hard work and perseverance she has built up a good solid reputation as an all round D.J. music wise.

Nicky has worked for the B.B.C. at Pebble Mill doing Radio spot which was a show "within a show. She presented "Performance" which was a run down of releases, gig guides, what's on etc. and personal 'hit picks'! She was there for over a year and was involved in many other things including Outside Broadcasts.

In 1986 Radio One in conjunction with Babycham ran a female D.J. competition and Nicky was runner up in the Midlands out 220 entrants.

Nicky's personal taste in music are Soul and Funk but enjoys all sorts including some Heavy Rock and she has somewhat of a specialist in 40's music!

Nicky approached P.C.R.L. in the hope of becoming a presenter and has been lucky enough to have been chosen should they be granted a license. To her P.C.R.L. epitomises what local radio is all about, a radio station that plays the music that people want to hear, with presenters that people can relate to, and with a style that helps you relax and enjoy. Nicky later joined the doomed Buzz FM and was known as Lady Buzz.
