Ranking Jacko

Gimme Good Lovin' b/w Children Of Israel (Beware) was PCRL's first release, although Cecil named this label Roots Music - Lost Moments. Cecil's later releases came out also in 1985 on the PCRL named label. Jacko as he was named on the vinyl had moderate success with his double 'a' side and made the local news papers.

Evening Mail, March 20th. 1985

Jacko's release also made page 3 of Echoes national newspaper on March 23rd. There they revealed his real name, Clancy Taylor and pointed out that he had been in the paper before where he had supported many UK artists on continental tours. Incidentally Clancy himself had written both songs. Overall a very nice review. Jacko was also the brother to the award winning PCRL DJ Big John who later joined the station in 1995.
